About

Premarital Counseling with Andy Cartee

With over 20 years of experience as a Prepare-Enrich facilitator, I have dedicated my career to helping couples build strong, healthy relationships. My clinical training through the Gottman Institute deepens my ability to support couples as they navigate the complexities of marriage. I hold a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Over the past 28 years, I’ve served in full-time ministry, and I currently serve as one of the ministers at Dawson Family of Faith. My wife, Keri, and I have been married for 23 years, and we personally experienced the transformative power of Prepare-Enrich as an engaged couple. This combination of education, ministry experience, and personal journey fuels my passion for guiding couples toward lasting love and meaningful connection.

Our Journey

My journey into pre-marital counseling began with my own story. When Keri and I were engaged, we participated in the Prepare-Enrich program. It provided us with invaluable tools and insights that not only prepared us for marriage but also strengthened our bond in ways we didn’t anticipate. Those early experiences ignited a desire to help other couples navigate the same journey with confidence and clarity.

Over the years, I’ve seen the impact that thoughtful preparation and intentional growth can have on relationships. My training through the Gottman Institute equipped me with research-backed methods to address the challenges couples face, while my extensive experience with Prepare-Enrich has allowed me to fine-tune the process to meet the needs of engaged and married couples alike. I believe that every relationship deserves a strong foundation, and I am committed to helping couples build theirs with trust, understanding, and a vision for their future together.
